Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a senior member of our backend team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Java.

Our tech stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Kafka streams, and various databases (SQL/NoSQL). You will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our users.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming knowledge in Java 8 and above, experience with software application development using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, as well as experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies.

You will also be responsible for implementing security best practices, participating in code reviews, and staying updated with emerging technologies and frameworks to improve our backend architecture.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design efficient schemas and manage data flow.
  • Implement security best practices to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
