Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. You will work closely with design teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that MEP systems are installed and commissioned to meet project requirements and industry standards.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for MEP systems, coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that MEP requirements are integrated into project plans.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including MEP engineers, designers, and technicians, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring team performance to ensure project success.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding MEP systems, communicating project requirements, updates, and key milestones to ensure alignment and client satisfaction.
  • Manage the design process for MEP systems, coordinating with other disciplines, reviewing design documents, and resolving design conflicts to ensure that MEP designs meet project objectives, codes, and standards.
  • Manage contracts with MEP subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, reviewing contract documents, change orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with project scope and budget.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems during the construction phase, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor project expenses and track spending against the allocated budget for MEP systems, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending measures to optimize resource utilization and minimize project costs.
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate MEP activities to ensure adherence to the project schedule, identifying and addressing schedule delays or conflicts to prevent impacts on project milestones.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate MEP construction activities, conducting inspections, reviews, and tests to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with MEP systems, developing mitigation strategies to address risks and minimize their impact on project delivery.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on MEP systems for construction projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera, MS Project, and Procore.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage teams, subcontractors, and vendors in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices for MEP systems.
