Job Summary

Expeditors is seeking a Product Owner - IT Infrastructure to lead our Systems team in building and supporting the Agile development environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding the team's priorities to meet dependencies and deliver on program objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decision-Making and Leadership: Serve as a decision-making leader on the Systems team, making key decisions to drive the team's success.
  • Team Embedded Member: Be a highly visible, fully embedded team member who attends all team-level check-ins, meetings, and events.
  • Backlog Management: Build, refine, and prioritize the team backlog in alignment with the program vision and roadmap.
  • Objectives and Roadmap: Draft specific team objectives for each iteration and Program Increment (PI) that are aligned with the program objectives and overall company strategy.
  • Story Development: Break down NFR, Technical features, Agile team dependencies into stories, define story acceptance criteria, and accept stories as done.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other System Architects, Product Managers, Project Managers, Product Owners, System Analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve dependencies and coordinate efforts as required to deliver on team objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the systems vision, roadmap, and priorities to stakeholders.
  • Program-Level Meetings: Represent the team at program-level meetings and pass relevant information back to the team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in team demos, reviews, and retrospectives with an eye toward continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in Systems product owner or IT system administrator (data center).
  • Software Development Lifecycle and software development methodologies including SAFe, Lean, Scrum, and Agile.
  • IT Infrastructure Knowledge including On-premises, DMZ, and Cloud.
  • DevSecOps Practices and experience in Incident and Change Management.
  • Vulnerability Management and Risk mitigation strategy.
  • Alignment with Expeditors' Culture and a total commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Driven and Strong Attitude and lives the belief that done is better than perfect.
  • Cross-Product and Geography Knowledge of Expeditors' network.
  • Certification or Ability to Become Certified in Leading SAFe and SAFe PM/PO.
