The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to join our Data Management team in Latvia. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architecture: Develop and maintain ETL jobs to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse, and optimize data warehouse performance through indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
  • Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and convert them into relevant data models.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Ensure secure access to data warehouse environment and data protection measures.
  • Testing, maintenance, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Google cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of versioning and CI/CD.
  • Advanced experience with or knowledge of most of the following software, languages, and tools: Oracle Analytics Server (+BI Publisher) and Oracle Data Integrator, PL/SQL.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Oracle database technologies, SQL, ETL process, reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience in database design and modeling for Oracle Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications, including relational database structures and normal forms.
  • Experience with software documentation and version control (GIT).
  • Knowledge of PCI standards and secure coding techniques and tools (Sonar Cube).
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills with complex technical subjects and tasks.
  • Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems, alternative solutions to others.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a team.
  • Experience estimating solution development and delivering solutions against those estimates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle.
