Enterprise COBOL Developer

This role is ideal for a skilled and experienced COBOL programmer who can work on mainframe applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance high-performance batch and online processing applications.
  • Write, test, and debug efficient COBOL code that meets business requirements.
  • Modify and update existing COBOL applications to improve efficiency or add new features.

Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining job control language (JCL) scripts, designing and developing database queries, and ensuring data integrity.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work under tight deadlines, and effectively communicate with team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with COBOL programming, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and IMS.
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Safe.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on banking applications is highly desirable.
