Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a senior-level accounting position that requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting.

The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in private accounting and possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Manage Daily Accounting Operations: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, including processing cash receipts and maintaining the A/R subledger, processing cash disbursements and maintaining the A/P subledger, payroll processing through a payroll provider and accounting software, and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Prepare Financial Statements: The Senior Accountant will prepare complete and accurate financial statements for month end and year end.
  • Work with Complex Client Financial Infrastructures: The ideal candidate will work with complex client financial infrastructures, including federal grants, restricted funds, and higher volumes of activity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or Foreign Equivalent: A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in accounting or a related field is required.
  • At Least 5 Years of Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the job offered or as an accountant in private accounting is required.
  • Excellent Verbal, Written, and Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are essential for this role.
