Backend Engineering Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned backend engineer to drive the development of our financial platform.

This role is focused on delivering high-quality backend solutions in a TypeScript/AWS environment, enabling seamless integration with the frontend and core features.

The successful candidate will own backend delivery, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security while meeting regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance backend services utilizing TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Implement transactional business logic for financial operations (e.g., user onboarding, transactions).
  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries.
  • Integrate third-party APIs securely using OAuth2 and JWT.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and audit compliance.
  • Collaborate through GitHub and CI/CD workflows.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js, with ability to be productive from day one.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architecture.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and real-world queries.
  • Solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs.
  • Effective communication and independent work abilities.
