Job Title: Governance Risk Compliance Professional

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) specialist. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our organization's operations align with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging regulations, including the SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA standards.
  • Perform regular risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare documentation and collaborate with third-party auditors and assessors to maintain a strong compliance posture.
  • Develop, review, and update internal policies, procedures, and standards to reflect changing regulatory landscapes and industry trends.
  • Manage compliance automation tools, such as Vanta AI, and participate in vendor risk assessments and questionnaires.
  • Evaluate the security posture and compliance of vendors and third-party suppliers to minimize supply chain risks.
Business Continuity & Risk Management:
  • Lead and document business continuity and disaster recovery testing initiatives.
  • Support internal risk management programs and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
  • Analyze and address gaps and exposures resulting from identified risks.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats to our organization's assets, operations, and reputation, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Training & Enablement:
  • Foster a culture of compliance throughout our organization.
  • Design and deliver internal security awareness and compliance training programs.
  • Serve as a resource to teams on compliance-related matters, providing expert guidance without hindering innovation.
Program Oversight & Metrics:
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our compliance program.
  • Drive continuous improvements to ensure compliance is embedded within our business processes.
  • Collaborate with legal, IT, and product teams to evaluate data protection requirements.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on our organization's risk and compliance posture.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory skills and qualifications:
    • Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or audit function.
    • Strong knowledge of SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and vendor management principles.
    • Familiarity with compliance automation tools like Vanta AI.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Experience working collaboratively across functional teams.
    • Proficiency in drafting and managing policies and procedures.
  • Nice-to-have skills and qualifications:
    • Experience with security awareness platforms, such as KnowBe4.
    • Familiarity with IT service management systems like Freshservice.
    • Knowledge of AI/automation applications in compliance workflows.
    • Relevant certifications, including CISA, CRISC, or equivalent.
