Job Title: Healthcare Data Engineer

Job Description

As a Healthcare Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting AI/ML initiatives through advanced data preparation and management. Your expertise in cleaning, rationalizing, normalizing, and integrating large healthcare datasets (claims, member, provider, clinical data) will ensure readiness for AI-driven analytics and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare large-scale healthcare datasets for AI-driven analytics and automation
  • Rationalize and normalize data to align with healthcare data standards and structures (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED)
  • Aggregate and consolidate datasets from multiple systems (EHRs, claims, third-party vendors)
  • Execute data extraction workflows to generate AI-ready features
  • Conduct data quality assurance and validation checks to ensure reliability and accuracy
Requirements

Strong experience in healthcare data engineering (claims, EHR, clinical datasets) is required. Proficiency in data cleaning, normalization, aggregation, and feature extraction is also essential. Knowledge of healthcare standards and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, HL7, FHIR) is necessary. Proficiency with SQL, Python, and automation frameworks for data workflows is also required.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration platforms (Mulesoft, Informatica, Talend)
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to partner with AI/ML teams
