Backend Software Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Software Developer to join our dynamic R&D group.

  • Plan, design, develop, and maintain new features and capabilities for our microservices backend system.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Backend Software Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software delivery through automated component testing, end-to-end testing, and performance testing.

  • Maintain and improve existing infrastructure, tools, and workflows to ensure scalability and performance.
  • Explore and recommend innovative approaches to improve platform performance and scalability.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering from a leading university.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Software/Backend Engineer in Python programming language.
  • Strong understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases, leveraging data modeling solutions for scalability and performance.
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, including REST APIs and message queues.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the above requirements, it would be beneficial if you have experience in:

  • CI/CD environments (e.g., GHA, Jenkins).
  • Infrastructure as Code development (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
