Job Title: PE Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee core accounting functions for private equity fund clients.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in fund accounting and reporting, with a proven track record of maintaining books and records and overseeing NAV calculations.

  • Fund Accounting & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee NAV calculations.
    • Review and/or prepare financial statements and associated reports.
    • Calculate complex carried interest/performance/incentive fees.
    • Prepare calculations and investor allocations for capital calls, distributions, and equalizations.
    • Coordinate and process payments and other transactions.

  • Team & Client Management:

    • Supervise junior staff and review work performed.
    • Act as primary contact with clients and other fund participants.
    • Work closely with Investor Relations to respond to investor queries and disseminate capital activity notices.
    • Monitor Senior/Fund Accountants' progression and identify areas for training and development.

  • Compliance & Special Projects:

    • Participate in projects related to business expansion and evolution.
    • Identify and escalate material issues affecting service delivery.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Qualifications:

    • Professional accounting qualification - CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar.

  • Experience:

    • Experience in accounting for financial services sector, particularly Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
    • Expertise in reviewing and preparing general ledger and financial statements.

  • Knowledge:

    • Established knowledge of accounting and consolidations under IFRS.
    • User experience with enterprise accounting system(s).

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
    • Sound judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Attributes:

    • Motivated individual with sound judgment and analytical skills.
    • A team player who can manage individual responsibilities.
