Highly Experienced Data Engineer for Machine Learning and Growth

As a Senior Data Engineer on our Machine Learning & Growth (MLG) team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining various marketing-focused data pipelines, handling both streaming and batch data processing.
You will work closely with highly motivated data engineers to build a state-of-the-art marketing data platform that solves various data-driven use cases across the organization.
The marketing platform will host various data products such as Subscription, Content, and Product Analytics, Personalization and Recommendation, Marketing & Paid Media enablement.
You will be working on flagship direct-to-consumer products such as MAX and Discovery Plus, and will be charged with building and maintaining various marketing-focused data pipelines.
This individual will bring in their expertise in a wide variety of big data processing frameworks (both open source and proprietary), large-scale database systems (OLAP and OLTP), stream data processing, API development, machine learning operationalization, and cloud automation to build and support all the data needs across Warner Brothers Discovery's platform.
We are looking for someone who can design and develop the data platform to efficiently and cost-effectively address various data needs across the business.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software engineering and data engineering, and will be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, agile environment.
They should also have expertise in at least a few programming languages, including Python, Scala, Go, or similar, and experience in building and managing large-volume data processing platforms.
Additionally, they should have expertise in OLAP databases, such as Snowflake or Redshift, SQL, Spark SQL, Hive, and stream processing systems like Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar, or similar.
Experience with microservices and containerized deployments, preferably using Kubernetes, and distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, or similar, is also a plus.
No-SQL databases, such as Apache Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar, and experience with analytics tools like Looker and Tableau, are also desirable.
The estimated salary for this role is around $180,000 per year, considering the location and the required skills and qualifications.
