Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines. This includes implementing robust data quality checks, monitoring systems, and data lineage tracking, as well as advocating best practices for data engineering.

You will write complex queries and other data manipulation languages to conduct advanced quantitative data analysis, supporting business decisions and driving strategic recommendations. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers on data analysis techniques and partner with stakeholders to translate data needs into actionable technical designs.

You will lead technical design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams, designing and developing insightful dashboards and reports to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and data-driven recommendations to diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, database querying, and data visualization.
  • 5 years of experience scripting, working with code, or system design, and leading projects.
  • Experience defining and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards, as well as data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with a wide range of data engineering and data governance tools and technologies, including cloud platforms, data warehousing solutions, data quality tools, and metadata management systems.
  • Experience with data analysis at scale, including statistics, and machine learning model development.
  • Experience with collaborative coding and version control.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
  • Familiarity with data center technology or supply chain.
