Job Summary

The Assistant Controller position plays a vital role in managing site accounting personnel, implementing financial controls, and providing data to management. This role is responsible for establishing financial policies, analyzing variances, and driving corrective actions.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Analysis Support: Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to operations and management teams to inform decision-making.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Oversee multiple direct reports, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
  3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Lead the development and presentation of budget forecasts, variance analysis, and business plan consolidation.
  4. Capital Expenditure and Cost Reduction: Manage capital expenditure projects and major cost reduction initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  5. Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements, maintaining accurate financial records.
  6. Inventory Management: Participate in the annual physical inventory process, identifying and addressing variances.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong cost accounting knowledge, leadership skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to work directly with upper management, maintain confidentiality, and think analytically to make informed decisions.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on location and level of experience.
