Job Opportunity

The position of Animal Welfare Investigator involves conducting thorough investigations into animal-related issues, using a range of research and investigative methods. This role is critical in uncovering evidence of animal cruelty and neglect.

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations, including covert operations, to gather evidence of animal welfare concerns. This may involve visiting industries that use animals, obtaining relevant documents, and documenting conditions through photography and videography.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trusted contacts during investigations, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Daily log notes must be submitted in an orderly fashion.
  • Work closely with in-house legal teams to assess evidence, prepare detailed reports, and cooperate in police and court proceedings as required.
  • Experience in investigative journalism or a related field is preferred. Basic veterinary knowledge or experience is also beneficial.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi is essential, with proficiency in other Indian languages a plus.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth research, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organisational abilities are required.
  • The ideal candidate will possess sound judgement, the ability to work independently in challenging environments, and a willingness to follow instructions carefully while maintaining confidentiality.
