Job Title: Field Service Engineer
The Role of a Field Service Engineer is to perform high-quality maintenance on automation systems at customer sites, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on automation systems.
- Perform tasks including backup, modification, report submission, and supervision of system cleaning.
- Conduct corrective maintenance to restore system faults.
- Support during shutdown maintenance activities.
- Handle logistics management, including material inventory, documentation, and PC troubleshooting.
- Apply strong knowledge of automation systems with hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate matured skills in independent troubleshooting/problem resolution on automation platforms.
- Understand customer needs and provide remote or on-site support for prompt issue resolution aligned with quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Plan site visits and align them with revenue plans.
- Travel extensively across regions for on-site support.
- Remain available 24x7 for emergencies.
- Execute service projects and system migrations.
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Identify prospects, conduct pre-sales site assessments, and convert them into business leads.
- Explore opportunities for migrations and add-ons, and proactively offer relevant solutions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Be willing to work as a Site Support Specialist (Resident Support Engineer) 24x7, 365 days.
- Be ready for deployments to offshore platforms for approximately 45 days per visit.
- Follow processes accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate politeness and effective communication skills in all interactions.
- Comply with leave frequency as per regional standards.
