Job Title: Data Assurance Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our data assurance efforts, driving high-quality solutions and mentoring junior engineers.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations, focusing on Snowflake.
  • Design, develop, and implement test plans and cases for data validation and quality assurance.
  • Review technical documents and provide timely feedback to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform data analysis and reconciliation between source and target systems.
  • Design and implement data quality frameworks for Snowflake environments.
  • Validate data completeness, transformations, and workflows.
  • Support data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective testing scenarios.
  • Identify data quality issues, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive automation in ETL and DWH testing where feasible.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance and security are met.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in ETL/DWH testing, with at least 2+ years working on Snowflake.
  • A strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Data Migrations, and ETL workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and reconciliation testing.
  • Experience with test automation for DWH/ETL projects is an advantage.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
  • Experience in a lead role, mentoring team members and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
Desirable Skills:

The following skills would be beneficial for this role:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments.
  • Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for automation.
