Job Description

We are seeking a professional mid-level Database Administrator with good technical skills to maintain our database systems smoothly 24/7.

The goal is to provide seamless data flow throughout the organization, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users. Knowledge of open-source databases will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform core MS SQL Server Administration tasks.
  • Build high-availability database systems depending on application roles.
  • Design and implement databases based on end-users' information needs.
  • Ensure DB security, including encryption, data in transit, and secure connections between applications and databases.
  • Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in a timely manner.
  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters for fast query responses.
  • Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Regularly test and evaluate data security, privacy, and integrity.
  • Monitor database performance, apply changes, and update patches and versions when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator – MSSQL.
  • Primary skills on open-source databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages.
  • Problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
