Design Engineer

At Alp Consulting Ltd, we seek an experienced Design Engineer to enhance our team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • DFM Analysis: Perform in-depth Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis in PCBA and fabrication analysis in PCB.
  • Testability Analysis: Analyze testability and generate comprehensive Design for Test (DFT) report. Simulate mechanical assembly process and create Design for Assembly (DFA) report.
  • DFx Procedure: Develop and implement DFx procedure and checklist as per customer requirements, generating DFx reports according to findings and observations as per standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing teams to define DFx requirements and rules. Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.
  • Training and Development: Mentor the team, guide them towards effective deliverables, and train new and existing team members on relevant software and tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCBA processes, including stencil printing, solder paste printing, SMT, wave-soldering, assembly, and box build. They should also possess hands-on experience with IPC standards, PCB fabrication processes, PCB layers, PCB design, and electronics component packages.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of DFx tools, such as Vayopro, Valor NPI, and Solidworks, as well as 3D design skills and simulation experience.

Our team seeks a collaborative individual who can work effectively with a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for new products and processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-7 years' experience in DFx methodologies, PCBA DFM process, DFT, and DFA analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics.
