Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Migration Specialist to lead our data transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies, collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of data from legacy systems to the target platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing the overall data migration strategy, scope, and roadmap in alignment with program objectives and timelines;
  • Collaborating with business, IT, and external partners to define data requirements, mapping rules, and transformation logic;
  • Identifying data sources and assessing readiness, quality, and potential risks;
  • Leading the end-to-end execution of data migration activities across all project phases: extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation;
  • Managing migration of master data, transactional data, and historical records from legacy systems to the target platform;
  • Coordinating with functional and technical teams to validate and test data in the target system;
  • Implementing automated and repeatable data migration processes;
  • Defining and enforcing data quality rules, cleansing standards, and validation procedures;
  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of migrated data with regulatory and audit standards;
  • Coordinating data reconciliation, defect tracking, and issue resolution processes;
  • Providing exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills;
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and support throughout the process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • At least 7 years of experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles;
  • A proven track record of leading at least one full-cycle data migration for a major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementation;
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN, etc.;
  • Familiarity with data migration tools;
  • A strong understanding of data modelling, master data management (MDM), and data governance;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills;
  • Project Management Skills.
