Operational Assurance Specialist

About the Role

The Operational Assurance team is responsible for providing assurance on the effectiveness of our clients' internal controls, governance processes, and risk management practices. As an Operational Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on audits to ensure that our clients are operating effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute operational audits, concurrent audits, and advisory engagements
  • Conduct technical risk assessments to provide an accurate view of the client's current risk state
  • Perform end-to-end business process analyses and design
  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze data using appropriate tools and technologies
  • Assess and design internal controls by applying an understanding of internal control design frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Understand the client's business, interpret sector trends, and learn leading practices
  • Effectively interact with colleagues and clients of varying backgrounds to effectively serve clients

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Project Management: Decision making with engagement management, seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions, lead engagement planning, economics, and billing, generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo, participate in proposal development efforts, assist in pre-sales activities, manage relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
  • Well versed with operational audit requirements
  • Managed end-to-end engagements for support on operational audit from planning to conclusion
  • High on integrity and a self-driven/proactive work attitude to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and build a client base
  • Excellent written, verbal communication with presentation and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Ability to manage client expectations through effective communication, technical knowledge, responsiveness
  • Ability to multitask effectively
