Senior Engineering Director

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Engineering Director to lead our team of talented engineers in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant services that meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with product management to envision future features and plan product roadmaps that drive business growth.
  • Define solution architectures that align with business objectives in collaboration with product management and engineering teams.
  • Facilitate collaborative design discussions and drive design reviews to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Provide technical expertise in software development and make informed decisions about the technical architecture and design to deliver high-quality solutions for the business.
  • Champion technology and architecture-related investments, advocating for the priority of this work to drive business success.

Tech Stack Overview:

  • Microsoft technologies including C#, TypeScript & NestJS, Node.js, and modern UI frameworks such as React.js and Angular.
  • Microservices and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or any other event processing service.
  • Cloud platforms including AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, VPC) and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
  • GenAI technologies including LLM fine-tuning, RAG architecture implementation, and prompt engineering.

Leadership Expectations:

  • 15+ years of technical engineering leadership experience driving high-functioning software engineering teams through effective use of tools and automation.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and modern infrastructure operations.
  • Familiarity with deployment and observability strategies that support continuous delivery and high availability in a cloud-native environment.
  • Outcome-oriented approach using metrics and data to understand development productivity metrics that inform areas for continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of data structures, asynchronous architectures, and distributed algorithms.
  • Ability to build robust, high-scale, generic, and reusable solutions.
  • Experience mentoring and training an engineering community on development best practices.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative, and organizational skills.

As a Senior Engineering Director, you will have the opportunity to showcase your technical prowess, lead a team of engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
