Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager – Nutrition to lead our nutrition-focused proposals and grants.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health nutrition, food and nutrition sciences, community health, global health, public health, and related disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, evaluation, and management of nutrition-focused proposals and grants;
  • Generating leads and building a pipeline of nutrition-specific and sensitive concepts and proposals;
  • Curating problem statements and developing RFPs;
  • Evaluating relevant concepts and proposals for grantmaking at regular intervals;
  • Undertaking budget assessments for new proposals;
  • Supporting team members with desk review of strategy or action plan from time to time;
  • Managing, monitoring, and supervising different programs and initiatives;
  • Facilitating timely grant reports and fund disbursals to grantees;
  • Independent grant management and supporting other team members in this area;
  • Identifying learnings and lessons from projects and initiatives and developing knowledge products;
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional units such as finance, legal, communications, and others;

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • PhD or Master's or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, and related disciplines;
  • Five to ten years of experience in public health nutrition, food and related program development, research, and policy;
  • Experience in research and program evaluation will be an advantage;
  • Knowledge in landscaping and situation analysis, curating problem statements, theory of change, logical framework analysis, or similar framework;
  • Skilled in proposal development or assessment and budget reviews will be an added advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills with command over spoken and written English and Hindi;
  • Knowledge of grassroots' realities and social complexities is essential;
  • Proactive, self-starter, who can work collaboratively;
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in computer skills (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, Google Suite, etc.);
