Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Application Security Expert to join our team. As a key member of our pre-sales technical team, you will be responsible for serving as the primary technical expert supporting our application security portfolio. Your role will involve working closely with our Sales team to design customer-centric solutions, deliver impactful demos and proof-of-concepts, and guide organizations on best practices in application security.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and workshops for our AppScan solution.
  • Prepare responses for technical sections of request-for-information/request-for-proposal documents and address customer queries.
  • Guide customers in adopting our AppScan solution within their DevSecOps and secure software development lifecycle practices.
  • Partner with our Sales, Services, Product Management, and Support teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Build reusable technical assets (presentations, demo scripts, FAQs).
  • Conduct partner enablement workshops and provide technical guidance for channel engagements.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, compliance requirements, and application security best practices.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or consulting in application security or enterprise software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of security testing tools and methodologies (DAST, SAST, SCA, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript, Bash).
  • Experience with AppScan or competitor tools like Fortify, Checkmarx, Snyk, Veracode, or Burp Suite.
  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
