Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

">Job Description:
  • As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative mechanical concepts and designs based on client requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • You will lead the concept design phase, transforming ideas into detailed 3D models using CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD.
  • In this role, you will conduct feasibility studies, including stress analysis, material selection, and cost estimation, to ensure designs are viable and meet project goals.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and quality control, is essential to ensure designs are practical and efficiently produced.
  • You will generate detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Design reviews, assessment of potential design risks, and implementation of necessary improvements are also key responsibilities.
  • To stay ahead of the competition, you will need to stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Additionally, you will provide technical support during the prototype development phase and participate in testing and validation of new designs.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • At least 5-12 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on concept design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge is mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes is crucial.
  • Experience in performing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation techniques to validate designs is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions are essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design work is vital.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex design concepts to non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
