Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong command of RPG IV / RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts.
  • Utilize expertise working with OMS, Inventory, WMS, and PO modules.
  • Apply deep understanding of DB2/400 – physical/logical files, SQL, journaling, triggers.
  • Cultivate strong debugging skills using STRDBG, job logs, and error analysis.
  • Employ experience with batch jobs, interactive screens, menus, and subfiles.
  • Operate familiarly with file-based integrations and data exchange formats (EDI, XML, CSV).
  • Engage experience with Change Management tools (Aldon, Turnover, Rocket, etc.).
  • Understand business workflows in the supply chain or retail domain.
  • Develop API development on IBM i using Open Access or web services.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Hold 12 - 20 years of experience on IBM i / AS/400 platform.
  • Experience in the retail domain is required.
  • Create projects in a modular fashion and encourage re-use of code.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Strong Communications and Client interaction skills.
