Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team within Autodesk's Digital Enterprise Services IT organization. The team leverages software engineering principles to build the foundation for the company's business-critical systems and processes, utilizing cloud-first platforms and services.

The successful candidate will have a critical role in designing, building, and delivering reusable managed cloud stacks. They will be responsible for designing, developing .NET applications to enhance Autodesk's enterprise cloud platform, configuring and implementing public cloud environments for enterprise and business applications, and delivering end-to-end migration outcomes for product teams in Azure.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop .NET applications to enhance Autodesk's enterprise cloud platform.
  2. Configure and implement public cloud environments for enterprise and business applications.
  3. Deliver end-to-end migration outcomes for product teams in Azure.
  4. Develop core services in Azure.
  5. Build and extend infrastructure automations for enterprise and business applications in public cloud environments.
  6. Refactor and migrate enterprise and business applications running on-premise to public cloud environments.
  7. Leverage tools to ensure configuration state is consistent across multiple systems that can be tracked, changed, and updated in an automated way for security and vulnerability protection.
  8. Troubleshoot issues in the Azure/AWS environment.
  9. Interact with enterprise and business application engineering teams to understand requests/issues, establish clear expectations, and provide effective communication.
  10. Design and build automation solutions to reduce manual efforts and increase team efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

  1. 10-14 years of hands-on experience in .NET framework (C#), Entity framework, RestAPI, MVC, and Angular.
  2. Good to have Power BI dashboard development experience.
  3. Hands-on experience with Azure services and solutions.
  4. Good to have knowledge on JS framework – Angular, React, Vue.
  5. Hands-on experience with SQL Server and No-SQL (MongoDb) databases.
  6. Good knowledge on setting up cloud infra using terraforms or cloud formation templates (CFTs).
  7. Experience with CI/CD tools like Code build, Code Deploy, Jenkins.
  8. Good knowledge on developing automations using Python, PowerShell.
  9. Hands-on experience with the AWS Cloud (i.e. EC2, RDS, S3 Bucket, Konga API Gateway etc.), Serverless development, deployment, and Monitoring.
  10. Ability to translate architectural requirements into component design.
  11. Good to have Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.
  12. Attention to detail and dedication to Quality, Automation.
  13. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with other members of the team.
  14. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Education

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  2. While not required, AWS Certification is desirable.
