Job Summary

DDN Storage is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team of passionate technologists. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that has been at the forefront of AI and high-performance data storage innovation for over two decades.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software features for our storage and HPC solutions. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop software features for our storage and HPC solutions using C and Linux platform.

- Collaborate with our QA team to create and execute test cases.

- Investigate and debug software defects.

- Apply test-driven software development methodologies, including automation and continuous delivery.

- Provide insight into system behavior by analyzing system logs and debugging software.

Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in software development and product support.

- 5+ years of experience working on storage and related technologies.

- Strong understanding of Linux operating system principles and architecture.

- Experience with SCSI, NVMe, and transport protocols like FC, IB, SRP, iSER, NVMeoF.

- Knowledge of storage concepts like RAID, caching, and file systems.

- Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, and bash.

- Development experience in high availability products and complex embedded products.

- Experience with integrating on custom hardware and development experience in virtualization.

- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.

- Master's degree is preferred.
