Job Description
We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our IR engines team. As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for designing and building various components for the retrieval engine to allow for sub-second retrieval with advanced matching capabilities. You'll work closely with peers, leads, and internal customers to define scope, prioritize, and build impactful features at a high velocity.
As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Design, build, and write highly optimized code.
- Participate in design and code reviews to maintain our high development standards.
- Partner with peers, leads, and internal customers to define scope, prioritize, and build impactful features at a high velocity.
- Mentor other engineers and help build a fast-growing team.
- Work closely with the open-source community to participate and influence cutting-edge open-source projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.
- 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions.
- 5+ years of experience programming Rust or C/C++.
- Hands-on experience developing distributed systems, large-scale systems, databases, or storage systems.
