Job Title:

Piping Mechanical/Stress Engineer

Job Description:

As a Piping Mechanical/Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the design of piping systems meets all applicable codes and standards.

  • Carry out necessary calculations to ensure that all loading conditions are considered and catered for in the design.
  • Ensure piping systems comply fully with stress analysis requirements specified.
  • Issue approved stress isometrics for critical lines as required.
  • Prepare stress calculations and nozzle loads summaries demonstrating code compliance and prepare a Stress Analysis Report containing calculations and information for each piping system analyzed when required by the client.
Responsibilities:

You will perform pipe stress analysis calculations, plant layout comments, piping mechanical specifications, special studies, special piping item calculations, drawings, and data sheets, and support selection and support design.

  • Perform flexibility analysis using Caesar II software.
  • Have knowledge of fatigue/blast, FPSO hog, sag, and structural considerations.
  • Be proficient in Navis Model/Review Reality and AIV/FIV.
  • Provide guidance to young engineers to perform the work.

Additionally, you will develop PML macros if required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in CAESAR II and other related software.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
