Senior Performance Tester Job Description

As a Senior Performance Tester, you will play a vital role in shaping our comprehensive performance testing strategy. You will design, develop, and execute load, stress, and scalability testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance.

  • Maintain technical expertise in performance/load testing principles and standards.
  • Develop solutions for supporting cloud (Azure DevOps) and CI/CD for SeV utilization.
  • Communicate effectively with multiple teams/external vendors and personnel when required.

Operational Management:

  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, volume testing to ensure production readiness.
  • Provide performance testing software systems support for respective business units.
  • Coordinate and execute creation of test cases, scripts, and performance test execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of performance testing experience.
  • Min 5 years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner using protocols Citrix, RDP, Java, and mobile technologies.
  • Significant experience working with JMeter and APM tools including NewRelic and Grafana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in performance testing principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (SQA) processes and practices.
  • Experience working on continuous improvement projects is desirable.
