Cyber Defence Specialist

About the Role:
This is a critical position in our Cyber Defence team, responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated detection rules for our SIEM solutions. As a key member of our CSOC, you will play a vital role in enhancing our cyber security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop custom detection rules in SIEM solutions to identify and mitigate potential threats
* Collaborate with the SIEM Content Development Lead to understand business project requirements, threat landscapes, and MITRE TTPs
* Continuously refine and optimize SIEM rules and logic to improve SOC efficiency and effectiveness
* Work closely with the cyber defence team to drive security content development projects and technologies
Requirements:
* Strong expertise in SIEM, ELK, Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana, coding, programming, JSON, KQL, Regex, and API
* Proficiency in complex query writing in any database and data parsing/enrichment
* Excellent scripting skills and ability to operate with minimal supervision
* Ability to build strong relationships across the organisation
