About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Tax Manager – US Taxation to join our India Shared Service Center team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our Tax Operations group, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the Company's worldwide quarterly and annual tax provisions and all aspects related to financial reporting (ASC 740), SOX controls and testing, as well as auditor review.

Your Focus

As a Tax Manager – US Taxation, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of consolidated income tax provision and related work papers, including Valuation Allowance, FIN48, and tax-related disclosures for financial reporting.
  • Coordinating collection and review of quarterly and annual foreign tax packages.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Company's APB23 calculations.
  • Assisting with the quarterly and annual setup of the tax packages in OneSource Tax provision tool (OTP) and the overall maintenance of our online tracking system.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and technology solutions in the company's provision operations.
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicating the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and supporting the creation of strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Maintaining effective internal control procedures over all aspects of the tax process to ensure compliance with SOX guidelines.
  • Responsible for managing the legal entity organizational chart, including gathering information from regional teams and updating the org chart.
  • Participating in other projects as necessary in support of M&A activities.
  • Engaging with and developing relationships with both internal and external tax resources.
  • Responsible for managing a team of 1+ support staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CA/CPA with at least 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience.
  • ASC 740 US GAAP experience is a must.
  • State US/International Tax experience preferred.
  • International tax exposure (treaty interpretation, etc.).
  • Working knowledge with the OneSource Tax Provision Tool.
  • Independent and reliable.
  • Must be able to partially adapt to US working hours during certain periods of the year (quarterly and annual provision).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must adhere to strict deadlines.
