Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

The successful candidate will lead, supervise and manage entire activities in Geotechnical domain for a large-scale open pit mine operation with a complex geological setting.

We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and be accountable for Geotechnical study, preparation of pre-feasibility and feasibility report, Stability analysis, simulation modelling pertaining to mine operation pit design, Slope stabilization and monitoring aspects, implementation of the scheme derived from the simulation models for implementing.

The incumbent will work closely with other departments to ensure effective collaboration and integration across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising a team of geotechnical engineers;
  • Developing and implementing geotechnical strategies to support mine operations;
  • Conducting geotechnical studies and preparing reports;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards;

A postgraduate degree in Geological Science/Geology/Applied Geology/Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineer/Degree in Mining Engineering is required. A strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices is essential.
