Job Description

The role of Senior Engineering Leader is critical in shaping the security posture of a leading open-source platform. This individual will lead a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining robust security measures to protect the platform and its users.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer science, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive collaboration across teams and stakeholders. They will be responsible for identifying and addressing emerging threats, implementing disciplined engineering processes, and representing the team and product to stakeholders and customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or alternative path with compelling narrative
  • Strong drive and track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Love of developing and growing people and a track record of it
  • Organised and able to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results
  • Professional manner interacting with colleagues, partners, and community
  • Prior experience working on FIPS/Common Criteria certified products and in-depth knowledge of underlying standards
  • Prior experience working directly with DISA-STIG or CIS benchmarks, including related audit + remediation tooling
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about software and application security
  • Solid experience working in an agile development environment
  • Demonstrated drive for continual learning
  • Ability to travel twice a year for company events up to two weeks each
