Senior IoT Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a Senior IoT Data Engineer to help implement an application for a large retailer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data processing systems using Python and Pyspark
  • Analyze telemetry data from IoT systems, including refrigeration units, HVAC systems, controllers, and sensors
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of data engineering components

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Expertise in Python, Pyspark, and SQL
  • Familiarity with GCP and IoT systems
  • Strong understanding of data flows through IoT units and sensor design/monitoring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • IoT system expertise, particularly in refrigeration units, HVAC systems, controllers, and sensors
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
