We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong proficiency in WordPress, Figma, and related technologies.

Job Description

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for translating Figma designs into functional WordPress websites. This includes ensuring all websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and true to design.

You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality, well-structured websites that balance performance, usability, and design accuracy. Your role will involve managing deployments (staging → production), troubleshooting hosting/DNS/SSL issues, and ensuring smooth launches.

In addition, you will be responsible for debugging, testing, and fixing errors efficiently while maintaining clean, modular code. You will also optimize websites for speed, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.

Other responsibilities include working with plugins, integrations, and occasional custom development (PHP/MySQL, APIs). Effective communication of progress and timely response to team messages are essential.

Requirements & Skills
  • Communication & Teamwork:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Native-level English (spoken & written) for clear communication
    • Responsive in answering messages and proactive with updates
    • Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency with WordPress (themes, child themes, plugins, custom post types)
    • Strong proficiency with Figma
    • Basic proficiency in Drupal Commerce
    • Basic knowledge of APIs and 3rd-party integrations
    • Skilled in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL
    • Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, or Gutenberg)
    • Deployment skills (staging → production, DNS, SSL, backups)
    • Git or version control familiarity
    • Familiarity with project management tools (Trello, Asana, ClickUp, or Jira)
  • Design & UX Awareness:
    • Ability to translate Figma designs into clean, functional builds
    • Basic understanding of UX principles and accessibility best practices
    • Attention to detail — ensuring designs are implemented precisely
  • Best Practices:
    • Performance optimization (caching, image compression, clean code)
    • SEO fundamentals (analytics tags, semantic structure, meta tags, alt text, headings)
    • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and Google PageSpeed Insights
  • Professional Traits:
    • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment
    • Strong problem-solving skills — able to debug issues without micromanagement
    • Organized and able to deliver projects on time
