Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Culinary Director for a leading luxury resort group in Munnar. As a Culinary Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food production and presentation. This is a full-time position located in scenic Munnar, Kerala, India, and offers a competitive salary range of ₹3,50,000 to ₹6,00,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure smooth functioning.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective performance.
- Monitor food costs and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and service.
- Stay updated on current culinary trends and incorporate them into menu development.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate procurement agreements.
- Handle any guest feedback or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Culinary Director in a high-volume kitchen.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
- Ability to create and execute innovative and diverse menus.
- Proficiency in food cost analysis and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.
