Physiotherapy Academic Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapy professional to join our institution as a Physiotherapy Lecturer and Researcher. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who can contribute to the teaching, research, and service missions of our department.

About the Role:

  • Teaching and Curriculum:
  • Create and deliver high-quality physiotherapy courses that meet the needs of students, using evidence-based practice and innovative teaching methods.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum standards, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in preparing students for their future careers.
  • Evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their academic and professional growth.
  • Research and Professional Development:
  • Pursue original research in physiotherapy, contributing to the field's knowledge base through publications and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physiotherapy, engaging with colleagues and industry experts to advance your skills and expertise.
  • Mentor and advise students on their academic and career paths, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Departmental and Institutional Involvement:
  • Contribute to departmental decision-making and initiatives, participating in meetings and committees to shape the direction of our department.
  • Engage in service activities, contributing to the academic community through committee work, outreach programs, and other initiatives.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the physiotherapy program, including budgeting, clinical placements, and other responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree in physiotherapy or a related field.
  • Excellent teaching, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with assessment and accreditation processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
