Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled FIX Protocol Expert to join our global financial connectivity team. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including Sales and Implementations, Development, Product Development, and Support, to understand bespoke business workflows and translate them into software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the FIX protocol (version 4.2/4.4) and experience working with programming languages such as Java, C++, C, or Python. Additionally, they should be proficient in Unix/Linux-based Operating Systems and possess knowledge of databases, specifically Oracle/SQL.

A strong background in electronic trading environments, particularly in FIX onboarding or FIX Support, is essential. Familiarity with networking protocols, VPN, Extranet connectivity, and TCP/IP concepts is also desired. Exposure to asset classes like Equities, Futures, Options, or FX is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business workflows and translate them into software solutions
  • Develop and maintain expertise in FIX protocol and related technologies
  • Communicate effectively with clients and vendors regarding technical matters
  • Participate in strategic projects, including system improvements and new functionality rollouts
  • Mentor junior team members and provide training and guidance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent understanding of FIX protocol and related technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
