About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at Velocida P. Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all cloud and physical database environments used to run and test our software platform.

About the Person:

You will be an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with a broad technical skillset, including a solid understanding of security and the software development lifecycle. You will be an independent thinker, driven and motivated, with a strong focus on quality and commitment to building real expertise. You will be able to work effectively in a team environment and be flexible to coordinate in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, provision, configure, operate, and maintain all cloud and physical database environments

- Collaborate with the DBA team, IT, Security, and Software Development teams

- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle database systems

- Execute DR activities, database upgrades, and patching, along with regular database maintenance activities

- Manage RAC cluster and Data Guard databases

- Perform bug fixes, root cause analysis, trouble shooting, and incident resolution

- Maintain detailed documentation on DBA processes and procedures

Requirements:

- Min 10 years' experience in handling Oracle production databases

- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, and Rack

- Proficient in managing RAC cluster and Data Guard databases

- Strong focus on database security

- Experience with Advanced Security (TDE and Redaction)

- Remediation of Security Vulnerabilities

- Knowledge on database auditing and Oracle database tools like DataSafe

- Good working knowledge in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

- Solid knowledge of Oracle Linux / RHEL

- Experience in Shell scripting for Database activities
