Job Title: Senior Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our team. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for valuing businesses, business interests and intangible assets, as well as analyzing financial and operating results of target companies.

  • You will analyze historical financial data to explain business trends and identify risks
  • Challenge assumptions related to future financial projections
  • Assist in the development of discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA etc.)
  • Conduct financial statement analysis e.g. common size analysis ratio analysis trend analysis and industry comparative analysis
  • Perform market industry research and develop industry growth estimates
  • Construct and review valuation and other financial models
  • Assist with the design and preparation of valuation reports and other client deliverables
  • Present analyses and conclusions to internal management and external clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration required; advanced degree and/or certifications would be preferable
  • Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated experience performing work related to fair value of debt equity purchase price allocation and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting consulting or investment banking environment
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory methodologies Experience in traditional valuation methods such as discounted cash flow method guideline public company method and guidance transaction method
  • Experience in valuing contingent consideration and valuation for mergers acquisitions and other transactions
  • Comprehensive experience with financial databases such as Capital IQ Bloomberg and other high-level tools
  • Track record of managing multiple high-stakes projects and delivering under tight deadlines
  • Functional understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions implicit caveats and limitations
  • Demonstrated technical skills working with financial models in Excel
