Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team at Dimensions HRD Consultants.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS to ensure scalability, security, and reliability. This includes overseeing the implementation of best practices for cloud resource utilization, driving automated provisioning processes for infrastructure deployment, and championing FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Deployment: Lead the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring it meets business requirements and industry standards.
  • Automated Provisioning: Develop and maintain automated provisioning processes for infrastructure deployment using tools like Terraform and Packer, continuously enhancing deployment workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Financial Operations (FinOps): Implement and champion FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and resource utilization, conducting regular cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising performance.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Collaborate with teams to implement and maintain IaC scripts for infrastructure configuration and deployment, ensuring version control and consistency in infrastructure code across projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and support, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Drive the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes, ensuring seamless and reliable application deployments across environments.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions for cloud resources and applications, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance.

Mandatory Skillset

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect, with experience managing and leading teams.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services, automated provisioning, and cloud management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform and Packer.
  • Expertise in FinOps and optimizing cloud resources for cost efficiency.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and scripting languages.

Preferred Skillset:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of serverless computing and microservices architecture.
