Job Title: APIGEE Solutions Architect

\

Are you an expert in designing, developing and managing scalable, secure and high-performance API solutions? Do you have hands-on experience with Google APIGEE Edge or APIGEE X?

\

We are seeking a seasoned APIGEE professional to join our team as a Solutions Architect. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in building and deploying APIs that meet the needs of our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Design and develop API solutions using APIGEE Edge / APIGEE X.\
  • Implement API proxies, policies (security, traffic management, mediation, etc.), and custom scripts.\
  • Collaborate with architects and backend teams to define API contracts and integration strategies.\
  • Ensure APIs are secure, scalable and meet performance benchmarks.\
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and availability issues.\
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for API deployments.\
  • Maintain API documentation and version control.\
  • Work with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.\
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our API solutions.\
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our API development processes.\
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases.\
  • Act as a subject matter expert on API-related topics and provide guidance to junior developers.\
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.\
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of API solutions.\
  • Contribute to the development of technical requirements and specifications for new projects.\
  • Plan and execute workshops and training sessions to educate colleagues on API best practices.\
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.\
  • Provide input on architectural decisions and help shape the direction of our API strategy.\
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\
  • Support the definition and implementation of data governance policies.\
  • Work closely with product managers to understand their vision and goals and align them with our technical capabilities.\
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.\
  • Travel as needed to attend conferences, meet with clients, or participate in project meetings.\

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, and other API security standards, as well as expertise in cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable).\
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required, but not necessarily a direct factor in hiring decision making.\
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities are highly valued.\
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc., and knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc.\
  • Previous experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead or similar role is beneficial.\
  • Professional certifications in APIGEE, API Security, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Agile methodologies, or other relevant fields can be advantageous.\
  • International travel may be required, depending on the specific job requirements.\
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial for this position.\
  • Fluency in English language (business-level) is mandatory.\
  • Native language proficiency (for locations where native language is other than English) is desired.\
  • Relevant technical knowledge and skills in web application security, data analytics, data science, software development life cycle, architecture and system administration is desirable.\
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field is also considered if suitable candidates do not possess computer science background.\
