**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced backend developer with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience to join our innovative technology-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in developing and optimizing monolithic architectures hosted on cloud services, including serverless technologies.

This role involves collaborating with a small, agile team to implement a robust backend monolith supporting a mobile app, website, and admin panel. The position requires a proactive approach to modular design, performance monitoring, and future-proofing for potential microservice extraction.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining a monolithic backend using Node.js with Fastify, structured with dedicated modules for chat, notifications, content management, community management, revenue management, event management, and user management. Additionally, the candidate will implement and optimize AWS Lambda functions to host the monolith, ensuring seamless integration with real-time features, HTTP routing, and Lambda warming to mitigate cold starts.

The ideal candidate will leverage Amazon DynamoDB for high-velocity data, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL for relational data, and Amazon S3 for secure media storage. They will also collaborate with DevOps to configure CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket repositories and Terraform, ensuring automated builds, tests, and deployments to staging and production environments in the cloud.

Monitoring and optimizing performance is crucial, tracking module-specific metrics and implementing scalability measures like reserved concurrency for high-traffic modules. Ensuring security and compliance with regulations is also essential, integrating authentication, protection, and CDN delivery.

Required qualifications include a minimum of 6 years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Node.js and frameworks like Fastify, and have extensive experience with AWS services, CI/CD tools, and version control best practices.

Preferred qualifications include experience with monolith-to-microservices transitions and modular design principles, as well as knowledge of load balancing, security hardening, and observability tools.
