Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SOC Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our security operations center, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security events from managed customer security systems.

  • Monitor and respond to security events from various SOC entry channels, including SIEM, Tickets, Email, and Phone.
  • Analyze security events to identify potential security incidents and escalate them to the appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution.
  • Work proactively to seek out weaknesses and stealthy attackers by reviewing vulnerability assessments (CVEs) on monitored assets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Tier 1 SOC analysts are incident responders, remediating serious attacks escalated from Tier 1, assessing the scope of the attack, and affected systems, and collecting data for further analysis.
  • Monitor security events from the various SOC entry channels (SIEM, Tickets, Email and Phone), based on the security event severity and suspicious activities, escalate to managed service support teams, tier 3 information security specialists, and/or customer as appropriate to perform further investigation and resolution.
  • Works as a Team lead for the SOC Analysts helping them to ensure that corporate data and technology platform components are safeguarded from known threats.

Requirements:

  • Min 1-3 Years' Experience as SOC Analyst – (Experience in SIEM Tool ELK & Wazuh preferable)
  • Process and Procedure adherence
  • General network knowledge and TCP/IP Troubleshooting

You must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security, with experience in security technologies such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, logging, monitoring, and vulnerability management. Knowledge of host-based firewalls, Anti-Malware, HIDS, common network services, network device functions, Desktop OS and Server OS is also desirable.
