IoT Architect Job Description

We are seeking an IoT Architect to join our team.

About the Role:

The IoT Architect will be responsible for designing and developing IoT solutions in the connectivity layer using various IoT platforms. This includes architecting, designing, and developing IoT solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IoT Solution Development: Design and develop IoT solutions that integrate with various IoT platforms, including Azure IoT, AWS IoT, and Bosch IoT Suite.
  • Prototyping and Proof-of-Concepts: Create proof-of-concepts to demonstrate the viability of IoT solutions.
  • Connectivity Protocols: Work with various connectivity protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, LORAWAN, WIFI-MESH, BLE-MESH, OPC, MT Connect, and Modbus.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay up-to-date with emerging IoT and mobile technologies, including communication protocols.
  • Edge Computing: Experience with IoT platforms for edge computing.
  • Cloud Services: Develop applications backed by cloud services.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience in one or more specific IoT/embedded/M2M industries, such as home automation, business automation, health, asset tracking, smart utilities, etc.
  • API/Microservice Development: Develop APIs/microservices using design patterns, UX, and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

Requirements:

  • 8+ Years of Experience: Strong experience in working with some of the connectivity protocols stacks.
  • Knowledge on Emerging Technologies: Knowledge on emerging IoT and mobile technologies and communication protocols.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Experience programming applications backed by cloud services, knowledge on API/microservice development, design patterns, UX, and containerization technologies.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience in one or more specific IoT/embedded/M2M industry.
