Job Title: AWS Redshift Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Redshift Engineer to join our team and support clients in architecting, optimizing, and scaling AWS Redshift environments.

  • Lead architecture review and validation for multiple AWS Redshift clusters;
  • Validate sizing assumptions and provide right-sizing recommendations;
  • Define and implement operational excellence best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting);
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and health metrics for Redshift platforms;
  • Analyze and optimize query performance (workload patterns, schema design, tuning);
  • Establish schema governance and define change management/version control processes;
  • Define a clear, auditable process for deploying new tables, columns, and views;
  • Act as a strategic, consultative resource—not just operational support;

About the Role:

  • We require a strong background in data engineering or database administration with deep hands-on expertise in AWS Redshift;
  • Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations;
  • Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals: table design (Distribution and Sort Keys), WLM tuning, vacuum operations, concurrency scaling;
  • Ability to develop and implement operational best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting);
  • Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management;
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills—able to clearly articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders;
  • Experience working in client-facing roles within professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of strategic outcomes—not just tactical tasks;
