**Database Administrator Role:**

We are seeking an experienced database administrator to support our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle performance tuning and be responsible for supporting database operations, including performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, access management, and database analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support ongoing efforts to optimize database performance and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Review and implement data loading scripts related to Golden Gate data replication.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries and indexes in Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c/Exadata added capabilities and functionality.
  • Strong programming/development skills using PL/SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers) are a plus.
  • Proficient in performance tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.
  • Strong knowledge of database triggers, indexes, and partitioning.
  • Expertise in Oracle architecture.
  • Proficient in reading Query Execution Plans with the ability to evaluate and improve performance characteristics of SQL.
  • Manage database objects like table space, users, indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, and synonyms.
  • Monitor database performance, memory usage, proper backups, active sessions, long-running queries, tablespace configuration, and space allocations.
  • Coordinate with data architects and analysts on schema development, table creation, function development, view creation, stored procedure development, and role definition.
  • Collaborate with the automation team for scheduling various AWA/RMJ jobs on multiple databases.
  • Provide guidance on DBA supervision and Oracle best practices for custom application development and routine database administration tasks.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in logical and physical DBA roles, including experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive knowledge of database data movement and processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology.
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
