About the Role

As a skilled Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining databases that power digital public health delivery platforms. Your role will involve ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases while supporting day-to-day operations, deployments, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will work closely with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to design, optimize, and troubleshoot database systems that support healthcare delivery at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, Configure, Upgrade, and Maintain Database Systems
  • Monitor Database Performance and Optimize Queries
  • Ensure Data Security, Integrity, Backup, and Recovery Processes
  • Automate Routine Database Maintenance and Deployment Tasks
  • Troubleshoot Database-Related Issues in Production and Non-Production Environments
  • Collaborate with Developers to Design Efficient Database Schemas

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong hands-on experience with MySQL, expertise in database monitoring and observability tools, and a deep understanding of query optimization and indexing strategies.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Knowledge of data governance, compliance standards, and healthcare data privacy regulations is an advantage. Prior exposure to healthcare or health-tech systems is also a plus.
